About this project

Another previously closed National Trust property, the tea rooms had been somewhat neglected over the last 12-18 months. Bad management, poor staffing and customer service levels had led to a steady decline in repeat and first time visitors. With a modest budget the tea room has a traditional but modern, warm, welcoming feeling. Local staff with good local knowledge and an appreciation of the iconic tea room all helps in making the customer experience at Periwinkle a memorable one, for all the right reasons. New menus to highlight local produce are all helping to add a personal touch to what is looking like being a very popular destination for visitors and locals alike. This is an ongoing project.
